Some funky mixed up NW groundswell with a lot of water on the high tide at 7am. As things back down we'll see some fun surf through the day....kind of shifty and peaky but some good energy. Looks like a one day swell with some background SW. Friday looks to be a little smaller and significantly smaller for Sat.
Santa Anas kick in today. Cold AM dawn patrol is opening up to a gorgeous sunny warm day with air temps in the low 70s today and mid to high 70s for Fri and through the weekend. Look for calm winds today with light offshores this afternoon. Tonight the E winds kick in and start really blowing offshore Friday. Tide sucks out for a low early afternoon. Water is still toasty in the high 60s and even low 70s with the onshore tide push this morning. I'm expecting a little cooler water to show up after Friday's gusty offshores.
Updated forecast this evening...
Stay wet San Diego!
