Get it while it lasts!

Greetings Surflings!  Oh it’s going be a long week ahead of us!  We’re staring at some knee/waist high waves as we come off that last small SW and NW windswell.  We’ll continue to see NW windswell for Thursday with a small SW filling in late.  Friday we’ll see a tad more surf in the waist high range but fairly low energy waves.  You might find a random chest high wave at the better summer spots around town.  That SW peaks Friday afternoon but we’ll continue to see the WNW windswell and thigh/waist high waves into Saturday and continue on into Sunday.  We’re looking at super small surf to kick off next week…knee high NW windswell for Monday, Tuesday and Wed.  There’s a little activity down south so hopefully it’ll drum up some swell for the end of next week.  Otherwise it’s kinda quiet!

The weather is going to be fairly mild and not too hot.  We’re looking at the same pattern of morning clouds with some cleaning by midday. It’ll be spotty with sunshine along the coast as we make our way into the weekend with Sunday being the sunniest day in the 7-day forecast.  Some overnight light breeze will greet us for the next few mornings and some light to moderate breezes by midday…nothing crazy.  We’re seeing some good tide swings as we come off the New Moon tonight.  Early early morning low will push up to a high midday and then zip back down to a medium low in the late afternoon before heading back up to a high tide a few hours after sunset.  Water temps are hovering in the high 60s in the mid/north county with some slightly cooler temps in the southern half of the county.  I’m hoping a week of NW wind swell isn’t going to cool things down any more…I’m still waiting to bust out my spring suit for my dawn patrols!  Come on Mother Nature…throw me some love here!

Get the surf while it’s here and…stay wet San Diego!

Here's a pic from a friend in Florida a few weeks ago.
I don't think I want to be anywhere near this waterspout!
