Oooooooook, we’re
looking at the tail end of some combo WNW
wind and SW groundswell. Sunday looks like some pretty small
surf with knee/thigh high surf. Monday morning will start off pretty
small but by the end of the day we should see some new NW start to fill
in. Hoping to see some thigh/waist high
surf by nightfall. Tuesday the swell looks to keep filling in a little with waist high
through the day with some background SW swell backing it up. Wednesday
we’ll see a nice combo of both NW groundswell with that background S swell. Surf looks to be in the waist range around most
of town with some chest high stand outs at both south and north facing
beaches. Swells peak Thursday with some more waist/chest
surf. Things back down a little on
Thursday with waist high surf. Things
get pretty small again Friday with
knee high surf back in town. Southern
Hemi and Northern Hemi both have some activity so we should still have some
surf on its way. Nothing to miss work
over but something to slide on!
So much for clear skies on the coast. The dense fog is moving in and we’ll see
plenty of it for the next few days.
Thick fog blankets the coast in the mornings and late
afternoon/evenings. We should see some
patchy sunshine midday. The good news is
that this should keep the winds down and things fairly clean in the lineup
Sunday thru Tuesday. Air temps in the
low/mid 70s with a little warming midweek.
Water is cooling down with temps in the 65-67 range with some cooler
temps spotted around O’side and south of La Jolla. We’re seeing some BIG tide swings with a pretty
high tide mid-morning draining out to a negative low tide in the early
evening. That should calm down a little as we move
away from the big full moon!
Some fun groundswell on its way for midweek with foggy but
clean days. Have fun and stay wet San
Diego!
